Bits and pieces from Nevskie Berega sept 2014

I took part of the bodyart contest in Nevskie Berega beauty festival yet again, but this time in the airbrush category (yet almost no airbrush used in the work itself since for some reason it stopped working right on stage..oops).

I still have some photos and videos to edit to show the full view of it, as well I have to wait the official photos from the festival (the ones here are from photo review from nevberega.ru website, YAY I made it this year, yet no place this time)

I was the first below the line of winners.. so no prizes this year (: Sad, but still, it’s a great experience, especially since this years masters were the top ones in airbrush from Saint Petersburg/Russia (apparently only a few from other countries as me)

Bodyart contest entry “Seasons” April 12th

Finally got the chance to edit video from the contest with original track which was suppose to be on background for this, not something which was playing when defile happened.. (:
Art by me, Anda MASQ, video post production by me.
Modeled by Māra Indriksone.
Photo and video material by Māris Greidāns
Music by Dmitry Distant – “Monk”

For the bodyart I used mostly Kryolan aqua and creme colors.
Inspiration actually came form The Lord of the Rings movie from the “trees” (:

Sugar Skull/Santa Muerte inspired makeup tutorial

This is Sugar Skull/Santa Muerte inspired beauty makeup tutorial. I have seen many full-face makeup tutorials for this theme, but not so many as beauty makeups. This is a little bit too much for a beauty makeup, but it would be good for a themed party, when you want to do something more and bigger, but don’t want to do a full face makeup using Aqua colors or other type of full cover ones.

I used a light shade of foundation and powder prior to filming this video.

So, what products did I use..
Eyes: Just makeup eyeshadow in white, Just cake liner in dark brown/black, Malu Milz black eye pencil, Oriflame liquid eyeliner, Malu Milz mascara.
Contouring: Just makeup eyeshadown in brown.
Lips: Just makeup supra in white.
Decoration: red small and black big rhinestones (plastic).
I also used red eyeshadow from unknown brand and eyelashes from ebay.

Lillies face art + hair art

Had lots of fun filming this one.. my battery for camera was dying, I had to recharge it like 3 times in between process to keep going 😀 Always remember to recharge your batteries.. (:

I used mostly Kryolan aqua colors, also soft cream color for black parts, which were still a bit smudgy looking after applying the black aqua color. For shimmer I used INGLOTs white loose eyeshadow in #75. Pink glitter is glitter by Nail Selection used for glitter tattoos, amazing stuff, it sparkles as electricity under sunlight/stage light.

The hair piece was supposed to be a part of my bodyart exam work, it turned out well, but the bodyart not so, need to re-do it.

video from Nevskie Berega bodyart competition

I literary edited this the whole night.. finally got to instal in my lappy some video editing software, had already forgotten how to use it since my last lappy broke down in fall.
This is how it all went down in this years February where I won 1st place for bodyart in brush/sponge category. Theme was “Illusion”. My idea about my character was transparency:cosmos/human/nature.

Fantasy Flowers tutorial

Inspired lilies.

Products I used:

eyes : Malu Milz eyeshadow base; NYX white jumbo pencil, Malu Milz black pencil; JUST makeup palette colors violet, ultra violet and pink, white; Malu Milz mascara.
face : Giordani foundation in porcelain, Malu Milz fixing powder.
Contouring : creme palette, Bronzer by Oriflame, MicaBella shimmer in Sunset.
Lips: Stage line lip pencil, Makeup Forever Mat lip color in #4, Catrice lip color in fuschia.

To create this look, start by putting on foundation and liquid contouring, fix it with transparent powder. Draw flowers with pencil, extend and retouch the lines with synthetic brush. Put on white pencil or creme/supra on places where you will put white or your brightest eyeshadows. Put on black smudged pencil your darkest eyeshadow. Then blend in pink and white eyeshadows. Make the flower more dramatic by using cake eyeliner in the darkest places, blend in well with violet eyeshadow. Put white shimmer on the white eyeshadow, to bring out the flower petals even more. Put around the flower to make it dimensional some pink eyeshadow or blush, finish it with putting pink, gold or white shimmer on your cheeks under the flower drawing. Detail flower petals with black eyeliner, white eyeliner and some crystals.
Attach false eyelashes.
Put on some more bronzer if needed right under your cheekbones, under the flower.
Put on your favourite lipstick and you’re done!
