I took part of the bodyart contest in Nevskie Berega beauty festival yet again, but this time in the airbrush category (yet almost no airbrush used in the work itself since for some reason it stopped working right on stage..oops).
I still have some photos and videos to edit to show the full view of it, as well I have to wait the official photos from the festival (the ones here are from photo review from nevberega.ru website, YAY I made it this year, yet no place this time)
I was the first below the line of winners.. so no prizes this year (: Sad, but still, it’s a great experience, especially since this years masters were the top ones in airbrush from Saint Petersburg/Russia (apparently only a few from other countries as me)
Finally got the chance to edit video from the contest with original track which was suppose to be on background for this, not something which was playing when defile happened.. (:
Art by me, Anda MASQ, video post production by me.
Modeled by Māra Indriksone.
Photo and video material by Māris Greidāns
Music by Dmitry Distant – “Monk”
For the bodyart I used mostly Kryolan aqua and creme colors.
Inspiration actually came form The Lord of the Rings movie from the “trees” (:
Had lots of fun filming this one.. my battery for camera was dying, I had to recharge it like 3 times in between process to keep going 😀 Always remember to recharge your batteries.. (:
I used mostly Kryolan aqua colors, also soft cream color for black parts, which were still a bit smudgy looking after applying the black aqua color. For shimmer I used INGLOTs white loose eyeshadow in #75. Pink glitter is glitter by Nail Selection used for glitter tattoos, amazing stuff, it sparkles as electricity under sunlight/stage light.
The hair piece was supposed to be a part of my bodyart exam work, it turned out well, but the bodyart not so, need to re-do it.
I literary edited this the whole night.. finally got to instal in my lappy some video editing software, had already forgotten how to use it since my last lappy broke down in fall.
This is how it all went down in this years February where I won 1st place for bodyart in brush/sponge category. Theme was “Illusion”. My idea about my character was transparency:cosmos/human/nature.
Haven’t been updating lately, because I was again caught up in preparation for two contests, one of them was a bodyart contest, the other one a styling, but for that one I don’t have any pictures yet to show.
So here goes the bodyart pictures…
(got 3rd place, the theme was “seasons”)
Modeled by Māra Indriksone, Photos by Māris Greidāns, all bodyart, hair, props by me, Anda Masque.
Using only Kryolan colors for large areas, small details (lines and dots) are done with Zenith face paints, which are more like liners in a cup.
So.. this has to get done! (part 2) 😀
Part 1 was winning in Nevskie Berega, which I did with the help of my model and mentors, family and friends.
This time this has to involve many more people, because I need some funding for this project to actually be done.
Here what happens.. if you are interested in sponsoring an art project video about body art as art on human body as living canvas you can visit this indiegogo (a crowdfunding website) campaign page here: http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/the-body-art-project/x/5370653
If you cannot sponsor, but you are totally interested in the end result, please share the link above. All help is very appreciated! (:
Bodyart practice for my next full work.
I used all kryolan products: Kryolan Aqua colors, Kryolan liquid makeup, Kryolan airbrush makeup.
I went for it..and I got it!
First place at body art brush/sponge category for theme “Illusion” in the end of February in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
Almost all colors user are Kryolan AQUA colors in different shades, from pallets and individual colors. Detailing in “cosmos” is done with Korean “Zenith” face paints, because they create perfect line work.
